BATHGATE SINGLES LEAGUE
This singles league competition started of being played
in the Lounge in Bathgate but due to technical difficulties (pub closed)
finished up in Coppies bar Armadale.
Thanks to Jimmy Wood for the updates.
Results are finally in.
Top four players in the league played of to find the overall
champion.
In the first semi final we had Billy Meikle getting the better of Stevie Brown by six games to two.
The second semi final was a bit closer with only one game the difference it saw Rex Brady get the
better of his good friend Jimmy Wood by six games to five.
The final saw Bill Meikle claim the first prize with a seven games to four victory over Rex Brady.

In a seperate singles tournament it saw Steve Brown walk away the champion defeating
Jimmy Wood in the final.
The doubles tournament saw Jimmy Wood & Andy Thomson claim the first prize
with a victory over Steve Brown & Rex Brady.

Has now moved venue and all games are now being played from Coppies Bar in Armadale.
Mine host John Watson has saved this league by giving the players a darts pub to play in
that has seen many a great game in it over the years.

180's Billy Meikle recording one maximum. Arran Edwards went one better recording back to back
maximum 180’s180’S. Also in on the action Steven Brown knocked in a 180 and
Jimmy Wood recorded two maximum 180’s on the night.
Fastest recorded games were by Arran Edwards 15 darts. Billy Meikle 16 & 19 dart games.

Jim Wood just squeeze past Jimmy Quinn by the odd leg in 9 tight 5-4 win.
Steven Brown taking out youth international Arran Edwards by 5 games to 3.

Final
Steven Brown win a cracking match by the score line of 6 games to 4 over Jimmy Wood.
On the night Steven Brown hit 2 x 180’s
Jim Quinn taking out a nice 110 game shot but top check outs on the night
Must go to Jimmy Wood with 90 20-20-bullseye along with 100 20-tops-tops and two massive checks in 137+ 140.
But when all said and done the K.O. cup singles champion is the man with the most games won and that is
